There is a place known as "Dargah Dayra", two km away from Fort. There is tomb of Hazrat Shah Sharief (R.A.). It is mentioned in the history that, Hazrat Shah Sharief blessed Sardar Maloji Raje Bhonsale near Vellora. After that, Sardar Maloji Raje was blessed with two sons, whose names were kept as 'Shahaji' and 'Shariefji'. Later, Sardar Shahaji was blessed with Shivaji Maharaj. One can approach Dargah Dayra from Mukundnagar side also. There are many historical places around. If the Archealogical Deptt looks after them properly, Ahmednagar will be a good tourist place to visit.
